Administrative Assistant:

Self-motivated, career-minded individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi task. This position will assist in day-to-day operations of the firm including bookkeeping activities.

As an administrative assistant, you will be responsible for answering phones, maintaining office supplies, setting up and maintaining project files as well as similar clerical activities.

In addition, you will also be assisting the office manager with issuing and tracking monthly invoices and data entry into accounting systems.

Working knowledge of Microsoft office software package with an emphasis on word, excel and power point is necessary. Customized Arris database and Peachtree Accounting software shall also be utilized.

The position of office manager requires access to sensitive information such as personnel files, financial information, client data base, marketing, etc. The firm expects that issues related to the business be kept in strict confidence.


CAD Draftsman:

Self-motivated, career-minded individual assigned to perform project CAD Drafting duties.

As a CAD Draftsman, you will be responsible for collaborating with the HVAC/Electrical Designers and Project Engineers in drafting and designing of mechanical and electrical systems for energy efficient buildings and process facilities. These systems include air distribution systems, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, exhaust systems, electrical power telecommunication, controls, fire and security. In this entry level position, you will size ductwork and piping, conductors, breakers and perform preliminary equipment sizing. You will work closely with the technical team members, vendors, and clients in producing final drawings and completing design tasks.

Applicant should possess excellent analytical and communication skills as well as proficiency in AutoCAD drafting.

Minimum requirements are a Degree in Architectural Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field with an AutoCAD background. Experience in a consulting office environment a plus. This position offers excellent career growth potential where the applicant can advance into a Junior Mechanical or Electrical Designer position based on performance.


Junior HVAC Designers:

Self-motivated, career-minded individual assigned to perform project Junior HVAC Designer duties.

As a Junior HVAC Designer, you will be responsible for collaborating with the HVAC Designer and Project Engineer and drafting and designing HVAC systems for state of the art buildings and process facilities. These systems include air distribution systems, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, exhaust systems, and controls. In this entry level position, you will layout and size ductwork and piping, perform preliminary equipment sizing, perform load calculations, investigate code requirements, and produce working documents utilizing AutoCAD. You may be asked to assist in surveys of existing building conditions with the Senior Engineer. You will work closely with the technical team members, vendors, and clients in producing final drawings and completing design tasks.

Applicant should possess excellent analytical and communication skills as well as proficiency in AutoCAD drafting.

Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field with 0-3 years design experience in a consulting office environment.


HVAC Designers:

Self-motivated, career-minded individual assigned to perform project HVAC Designer duties.

As a HVAC Designer, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Project Engineer and drafting and designing HVAC systems for state of the art buildings and process facilities. These systems include air distribution systems, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, exhaust systems, and controls. In this position, you will layout and size ductwork and piping, perform preliminary equipment sizing, perform load calculations, investigate code requirements, and produce working documents utilizing AutoCAD. You will work closely with the technical team members, vendors, and clients in producing final drawings and completing design tasks.

Applicant should possess excellent analytical and communication skills as well as proficiency in AutoCAD drafting.

Minimum requirements are an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years design experience in a consulting office environment or Bachelor degree. Degree requirement may be waived based on length of experience. Experience in Healthcare HVAC is a plus. The Applicant should be familiar with ICC International Mechanical/ Plumbing Code as well as ASHRAE Codes.


Plumbing Designers:

Self-motivated, career-minded individual assigned to perform project Plumbing Designer duties.

As a Plumbing Designer, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Project Engineer and drafting and designing Plumbing systems for buildings and process facilities. These systems include cold water systems, hot water systems, sanitary waste and vent systems, storm water drainage, and medical gas distribution systems. In this position, you will layout and size piping, perform preliminary equipment sizing, perform building surveys, perform load calculations, investigate code requirements, and produce working documents utilizing AutoCAD. You will work closely with the technical team members, vendors, and clients in producing final drawings and completing design tasks.

Applicant should possess excellent analytical and communication skills as well as proficiency in AutoCAD drafting.

Minimum requirements are an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years design experience in a consulting office environment. Associates Degree requirement may be waived based on length of experience. Experience in Healthcare Plumbing is a plus. The Applicant should be familiar with ICC International Plumbing Code as well as NFPA Medical Gas Codes.


Electrical Engineers:

Self-motivated, career-minded individual assigned to perform project Electrical Engineering duties.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for delineating work responsibilities electrical designers, drafting and designing Electrical systems for state of the art buildings and process facilities. These systems include lighting, power, fire alarm, and communication systems. In this position, you will perform project management duties on numerous projects and oversee the layout and sizing of power feeders, panel boards, and lighting; perform final equipment sizing, perform building surveys, perform load calculations, investigate code requirements, and oversee the production of working documents utilizing AutoCAD. You will work closely with the technical team members, vendors, and clients in producing final drawings and completing design tasks.

Applicant should possess excellent analytical and communication skills as well as proficiency in AutoCAD drafting.

Minimum requirements are a PE license and a Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 5-10 years design experience in a consulting office environment. PE license requirement may be waived based on potential to apply for a PE license. Experience in Healthcare is a plus. The Applicant should be familiar with NFPA National Electrical Code as well as NFPA Fire Alarm and Emergency Power.


NEWS

Arris bidding major Fire Alarm project for the West Chester University in West Chester, Pa. The project includes the replacement of the entire head end system, inter-communication system and twenty seven building systems throughout the campus. In addition, thirty five existing building fire alarm systems will tied into and report all addressable information to the new head end system.
