Arris Engineering is committed to building long term strategic relationships with our customers that bring maximum value to their organizations over time.

As a corporation, Arris Engineering brings significant value to our customers by providing added value through systems integration, expert knowledge of engineered buildings systems and innovative solutions to real world challenges.

Our knowledge-based integration approach allows us to look at the building as a whole, starting in the early phases of planning and design. Our first goal is to work with the owner and their team to identify the strategic intent of the project -- understand how the owner wants the building to perform and how they plan to occupy and operate it.

Providing Total Integration of Engineered Building Systems
To operate efficiently and cost effectively, building systems must be designed to function as a part of an integrated environment. An environment that includes the envelope, structure, mechanical and electrical systems

With this understanding, Arris Engineering assists with the development and design of system strategies and solutions that are uniquely tailored to the owner’s objectives

Because we are concerned with more than just the design & construction phase of your project, we can help balance both the short term needs of the project and the long term operational needs. We can make sure you maximize your results throughout the lifecycle of your facility, by lowering the total cost of ownership. And because the systems are designed together in a holistic way -- your building operations should improve over time through ongoing optimization efforts.

Experience has shown that a holistic approach to the building design process -- one that begins with the end in mind -- can:

Electrical-Engineers Reduce duplication in systems and infrastructure
Electrical-Engineers Reduce risk for all the stakeholders
Electrical-Engineers Reduce total life cycle costs
Electrical-Engineers Deliver a better building in terms of comfort, safety and productivity
Electrical-Engineers Contribute to the organizational objectives of the owner

We have an extensive base of knowledge that comes from our own experience, from the best practices in design and in the construction industry, and we have applied that knowledge to build processes, systems and tools that ensure consistent delivery and promised results at every step of your project.

The bottom line is that you get a better building that’s tailored to meet your reasons for building it in the first place!
NEWS

Arris Engineering Group is planning to expand its offices. Arris is in the process of moving to the 7th floor of the existing building at 67 Public Square in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The move is being initiated by the need for additional office space and a need for a more conducive work atmosphere. The new office layout will employ many green building principals such as day lighting, an open office environment and multiple outside air changes per hour. The move is planned for late September, 2008.

Arris proceeding to move forward with the implementation of Autodesk Revit 2008 MEP. The new software will allow Arris to work with Architects that also utilize the Architectural version of the software and will better serve to meet the client’s needs when considering a complete building system package. The software conversion includes all the aspects of Autocad 2008 MEP but also allows for designs to be completed with the use of 3-D building components. Total conversion to the new software program and training of all personnel is planned to be completed by August 2008.

ARC-Flash Analysis
Arris has completed Arc-Flash analysis on over 25 building systems since 2007 and is continuing its march toward being the areas largest qualified engineering firm to conduct Arc-Flash Analysis Studies. Arris employs three full time engineers that are certified to perform the studies and is in the process of adding additional staff to meet demand. Our engineers typically work with the facilities electrical contractor or will utilize the services of our own sub-contracted electrical contractor to collect the required data at a facility. Working with the facility staff, we will develop accurate one-line diagrams and provide a comprehensive short circuit and arc-flash study of the system including all labeling and training if desired.
