Arris Engineering which is located in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. is a full service multi-discipline engineering firm which understands the importance of exceeding our customers expectations. Established in 1996 with the goal of providing engineering services to the utility and industrial markets, the firm has grown significantly in scope, variety of clients served and capabilities.

NEWS

Arris Engineering Group is planning to expand its offices. Arris is in the process of moving to the 7th floor of the existing building at 67 Public Square in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The move is being initiated by the need for additional office space and a need for a more conducive work atmosphere. The new office layout will employ many green building principals such as day lighting, an open office environment and multiple outside air changes per hour. The move is planned for late September, 2008.


Arris proceeding to move forward with the implementation of Autodesk Revit 2008 MEP. The new software will allow Arris to work with Architects that also utilize the Architectural version of the software and will better serve to meet the client’s needs when considering a complete building system package. The software conversion includes all the aspects of Autocad 2008 MEP but also allows for designs to be completed with the use of 3-D building components. Total conversion to the new software program and training of all personnel is planned to be completed by August 2008.

ARC-Flash Analysis
Arris has completed Arc-Flash analysis on over 25 building systems since 2007 and is continuing its march toward being the areas largest qualified engineering firm to conduct Arc-Flash Analysis Studies. Arris employs three full time engineers that are certified to perform the studies and is in the process of adding additional staff to meet demand. Our engineers typically work with the facilities electrical contractor or will utilize the services of our own sub-contracted electrical contractor to collect the required data at a facility. Working with the facility staff, we will develop accurate one-line diagrams and provide a comprehensive short circuit and arc-flash study of the system including all labeling and training if desired.
