Arris has recently been awarded and is completing construction documents for an Energy Savings Contract for the Easter Kentucky Community and Technical College System.
The work encompasses multiple building geothermal system designs, boiler and chiller replacements, PTAC and HVAC unit replacements and the installation of VFD’s on pumps and motors over 5HP. In all, thirty three buildings are involved at eleven different campuses. Arris will complete construction administration services for the design-build projects once the GMP pricing has been received from local contractors.
Arris has implemented Autodesk Revit MEP. The new software has allowed Arris to work with Architects that also utilize the Architectural version of the software and better serve to meet the client’s needs when considering a complete building system package. The software conversion included all the aspects of Autocad MEP and also allows for designs to be completed with the use of 3-D building components.
ARC-Flash Analysis
Arris has completed Arc-Flash analysis on over 25 building systems since 2007 and is continuing its march toward being the areas largest qualified engineering firm to conduct Arc-Flash Analysis Studies. Arris employs three full time engineers that are certified to perform the studies and is in the process of adding additional staff to meet demand. Our engineers typically work with the facilities electrical contractor or will utilize the services of our own sub-contracted electrical contractor to collect the required data at a facility. Working with the facility staff, we will develop accurate one-line diagrams and provide a comprehensive short circuit and arc-flash study of the system including all labeling and training if desired.  ADM Cocoa
Arris is performing electrical engineering design services for a 100 million dollar manufacturing facility being constructed in Hazleton, PA. The project is being constructed in a design-build capacity with area contractors. Our engineers are engaged daily with other design disciplines and ADM engineers to provide the working electrical drawings to be utilized in the construction process.

 Crozer Chester Medical Center
The successful construction of the renovation to the Burn Treatment units at the Crozer Chester Medical Center has just been completed. Included in the renovation to 12 patient treatment rooms was the creation of two burn patient isolation treatment rooms that included 99.97% HEPA filtration system with automatic pressurization, temperature and humidity control.More>>
